Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Flooding of low-lying land and roads remains possible. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads along the River Amber around Ambergate. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Wingfield Park Gauge are high but remaining steady. Levels are likely to remain high until Saturday afternoon 07/02/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 07 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
