Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 28 February 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads along the River Amber around Ambergate. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Wingfield Park gauge are expected to remain high until 15:00 on 28/02/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
