Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Stareton river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall received upstream in the past 24 hours. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to begin between 19:00 hrs today Thursday 24/12/20 and 08:00 hrs tomorrow, Friday 25/12/20.
No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hrs. We expect river levels to keep rising as flows move downstream over the next 6 hours, before the river levels start falling starting from 01:00hrs, on 25/12/2020.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety. Take photographs of any flood damage and contact your insurance company if you've been flooded.
