Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding early this evening, between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM on 26/02/2025, following today’s heavy rain.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brue, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Plus properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury.
Weather conditions are expected to improve from tomorrow, although water may remain on low-lying floodplain for several days.
We have cleared debris from weed screens and are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and consider your flood plan. Refer to local authority website for road closures, and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 27/02/2025, or as the situation changes.
