Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels have risen on the River Cherwell as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property, roads and low lying land is possible overnight, 06/01/2025. Properties on Wales Street at Kings Sutton are most at risk. The forecast overnight is mainly dry overnight, with further showers tomorrow morning, 07/01/2025. We expect river levels to continue rising tonight before falling again tomorrow morning. Levels will remain sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 07/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
