River Levels

River Cherwell from Charwelton to above Banbury

Message issued at 9:33am, Monday 25th November 2024

Warning no longer in force

This flood warning has been removed. River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold. The flood warning for the area has now been removed. However, a flood alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding may still affect roads and low lying land. Today (25/11/2024) is forecast to be mainly dry and we expect river levels to continue falling. River levels are sensitive and may respond to further rainfall. We are monitoring the situation and will re-issue this warning if required. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
