Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because some flooding of homes and businesses is possible in response to the rain that has fallen overnight and this morning, Sunday 18 February 2024. River levels are high in response to the rainfall. Areas most at risk are Yeldham Road, Nunnery Street, the A1017 and the B1058 at Castle Hedingham, Station Road, Summerfields, Spring Way and Alderford Street in Sible Hedingham. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate. The forecast is for a generally improving weather picture through this evening, but with the chance of the odd shower pushing through the catchment. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation closely. We will update this message on Monday 19 February 2024, or if the situation changes.
