Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely over the rest of today and into tomorrow, Saturday 30 January. River levels are currently high due to recent rainfall. River levels are expected to remain high, and responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are Yeldham Road, Nunnery Street, the A1017 and the B1058 at Castle Hedingham, Station Road, Summerfields, Spring Way and Alderford Street in Sible Hedingham. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate and are monitoring river level response to overnight rain. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days. Take care on riverside footpaths and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message as necessary.
