Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely tonight, Thursday 14th January 2021. River levels are continuing to rise following todays rainfall. Areas most at risk are Halstead, Earls Colne, Chappel, Ford Street and Lexden. The forecast is for more settled weather tomorrow which should allow levels to begin to fall, however more rain is expected Saturday. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation, and will update this message by 10:00, Friday 15th January 2021.
