Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 .
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue overnight.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 01:00 AM on Tuesday morning. The main areas of concern are White Hart Inn and Colyvale Caravan Park at Colyford. The ford at Farway, upstream of Colyton, may be impassable. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 02:00AM and 08:00AM.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one
