This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely today, Monday 13th November. River levels are rising steadily in response to the rainfall that has fallen overnight and into this morning. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas in Noak Bridge and Wickford. The forecast is for rain through the rest of this morning, Monday 13th November, some of which is likely to be heavy. The rain is expected to clear by midday and remain dry for the afternoon and evening. There are likely to be some showers tomorrow, Tuesday 14th November. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. We will update this message on the morning of Tuesday 14th November 2023, or as the situation changes.
