This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely to continue during today, Sunday 5th January. River levels are rising from the recent rainfall. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas in Noak Bridge and Wickford. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather today and tomorrow. Take care on riverside footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message tomorrow morning, Monday 6th January, or as the situation changes.
