Flood alert

This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely from now until tomorrow, Wednesday 13th March. River levels are expected to continue to rise in response to recent rainfall. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas in Noak Bridge and Wickford. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days. Take care on riverside footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Wednesday 13th March, or as the situation changes.
