Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Matlock river gauge. Consequently, flooding of property is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are Amber gate, including the Hurt Arms Public House, the A6, the Post Office, and Derby Road.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services.
Please avoid contact with flood water and follow advice from emergency services.
This message will be updated tonight at 23:30, or as the situation changes.
