Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Matlock river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected imminently. Areas most at risk are Northwood, and Churchtown, including Rectory Farm, and Hope Cottage.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until at least tomorrow.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water.
