Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snow. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are access and egress to properties and businesses at Haslam’s Lane, Folly Road and Darley Mills, as Haslam's Lane becomes inundated and Darley Abbey Toll Bridge remains closed. If levels continue to rise, evacuation from the area will not be possible.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
