Flood alert

River levels have risen on the River Doe Lea due to persistent rainfall and rapid snowmelt overnight.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Doe Lea this morning, Friday 09/02/24, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Buttermilk Lane and Poolsbrook.

River levels are expected to peak this morning, however further rainfall is forecast throughout today and we will continue to monitor river levels and rainfall closely.

Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 4:30pm on 09/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
