Flood alert

River levels have been falling on the River Doe Lea Beck throughout the afternoon on Monday 6th January 2025. River levels peaked at around 11:00am on Monday 6th January 2025 and remain high overnight and flooding is possible. The associated flood warnings for Staveley and Duckmanton were issued. No further significant rainfall is expected over the next couple of days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. Please refer to advice from local authorities and the emergency services regarding risks relating to snow and icy conditions. This message will be updated by 10 AM on Tuesday 7th January 2025, or as the situation changes.
