River Levels

River Don at Willow Bridge Caravan Site

Message issued at 8:46pm, Friday 15th November 2019

Warning no longer in force

The level at our Doncaster river level gauge has now peaked following last night’s rainfall and is expected to continue to fall overnight and through tomorrow, Saturday 16th November. We are downgrading this flood warning as the risk of additional flooding to property from the River Don has passed.

Please be aware that flood water is still affecting large areas of farm land, fields and minor roads. Please do not put yourself at risk by walking or driving through flood water. Please check: https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/transport-streets-parking/current-roadworks for details of local road closures.

No further significant rainfall is expected over today and tomorrow (16/11/2019), however there is potential for a band of rain to move across South Yorkshire on Sunday (17/11/2019). Our incident room remains open and we are monitoring the forecast closely. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. To report any flood impacts please call 0800 80 70 60.
