Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise on the River Eden due to heavy and prolonged rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Eden, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around low lying areas adjacent to the River Eden at Bolton, including Bolton Bank Caravan Park, Bolton Mill, The Cottage and Stables. Flooding is expected when river levels are at their highest from 11:00 PM on 20/09/2025.Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences. We are deploying pumps, people and equipment in the area. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM tomorrow Sunday 21/09/2025, or as the situation changes.
