Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising on the River Eden due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Eden, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around A686 Penrith to Alston Road at Langwathby Bridge; Toll Bar Cottage, Eden Hall Cricket Club and the A686 Penrith to Alston Road. Flooding of property is expected from 8:30 PM on 21/01/2024. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 12:00 midnight on 21/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
