Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

River levels are forecast to rise at the Great Corby river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall on the Pennines and the upper Eden at Appleby only peaking in the last few hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains to farms, residential properties and roads adjacent to the River Eden at Warwick Bridge including properties at Bridge End Cottages, Holme Eden Hall and properties adjacent to the B6263 Warwick Bridge to Wetheral Road. Flood water could be deep and fast flowing, and therefore pose a risk to life.
Further rainfall is forecast tonight..
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
