Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Eden Valley river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying roads and farmland is expected. Farms, residential properties and roads are at risk adjacent to the River Eden at Warwick Bridge including properties at Bridge End Cottages, Holme Eden Hall and properties adjacent to the B6263 Warwick Bridge to Wetheral road. The River Eden level has peaked and for a short time will fall. However further rain will cause the level to rise and we expect it to peak again at around 10am on Sunday 16/02/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses.
This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
