Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Pinxton river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snow melt. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is imminent.
Areas most at risk are Langley Mill, and Shipley Gate, including Derby Road, and Cromford Road.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Tuesday on 07/01/25.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water.
