River levels remain high on the River Esk due to rainfall associated with Storm Babet, but are falling. Areas most at risk include properties around Creyke Beck, Mill Beck and Broadlane Beck. Further light rainfall is expected on Saturday, 21/10/2023 but we expect levels to continue falling. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 16:15 on 21/10/2023, or as the situation changes.
