Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but steadily falling on the River Evenlode following rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected through today 25/11/2024. Areas most at risk are Shipton-under-Wychwood and Ascott-under-Wychwood. The forecast is predominantly dry today with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024). We expect river levels to continue to fall through today, but levels remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week in response to the forecast rainfall. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated this evening 25/11/2024, or earlier as the situation changes.
