Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected.
River levels remain high but are now falling on the River Evenlode as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding is expected to continue, especially in the areas closest to the river in Shipton-Under-Wychwood.
No further rainfall is forecast today (24/12/20) or tomorrow. River levels have peaked and started to fall, with no further rise forecasted.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing weed/trash screens.
Please avoid contact with flood water and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 25/12/20, or as the situation changes.
