Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are remaining high in response to recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is still possible for the next few days while the rivers drain away from high peak levels. Areas most at risk are Waters Meet, Temple Close, Hartford Road, Tennis Court Avenue, Nursery Road and Brookside in Huntington, Main Street, Church Lane, The Grove and Old Houghton Road in Hartford. The forecast is for dry weather today but some potentially heavy showers tomorrow, which will keep levels high. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 6pm today, Sunday 29th September.
