Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Ordsall river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected to begin between 23:00 today, 07/01/25, and 01:00 tomorrow, 08/01/25. Areas most at risk are Retford, including Darrel Road, and Ordsall, including Goosemoor Lane.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until 09/01/25.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water.
