Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising on the River Isle due to recent rainfall.
This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected this evening on 07/12/2023 between 06:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Isle, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Ashford Mill, and Ilford Bridges Farmhouse ringbanks will be bankfull and the B3168 at Hambridge is expected to flood.
The rainfall has now passed out of the area and river levels are expected to fall later this evening. Some light showers are forecast midday on Friday and early on Saturday morning.
We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and will continue to monitor the forecast and river levels.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and install any property flood protection products.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on 08/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
