Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected from the afternoon of 18 December 2025 .
Areas most at risk include Rose Mills Industrial Estate, Hort Bridge, Station Road including Holway House Park, Railway Cuttings, Home Farm Way including Home Farm Park, Green Lane, The Old Orchard and Winterhay Lane including the Manor Farm area. Flooding is expected from 4pm this afternoon as river levels are quickly rising following the rainfall today.
Weather conditions are expected to improve later this evening with a dry day forecast for Friday. River levels are expected to fall later today, and the risk of flooding will reduce this evening.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing blockages from debris screens.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water and monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
