Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Kites Hardwick river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high through Friday 29/01/21.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Please move family, possessions, and valuables to safety and call 999 if in immediate danger. Take photographs and contact your insurance company if you've been flooded.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 29/01/21, or as the situation changes.
