Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Flooding is possible this evening and overnight on 26 August 2026.
Areas most at risk are low-lying recreational areas and roads including High School playing fields on Valley Road and other low lying land and recreational areas, low lying land and roads around the Tottle Brook. Thunderstorms are forecast over the next 6 hours, with low confidence over timing and locations. River levels may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Thursday, 27/08/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation & clearing debris from weed screens. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses & monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 09:00 AM on 27 August 2026, or as the situation changes.
