Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected on Sunday afternoon.
Heavy rain on Sunday is causing the River Lynher to rise, which may cause flooding as high river levels coincide with high tide at 3.15pm.
Properties and low lying areas around the caravan and camping site at Notter Bridge and properties at Newbridge and Kerney Bridge may start to flood first from around 2.30pm on Sunday.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. Do not walk or drive through floodwater. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages. This message will be updated by 10am on Monday or earlier if the situation changes.
