Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected in the early hours of Monday morning.
Heavy rain on Sunday evening is forecast to cause the River Lynher to rise again overnight, which may cause flooding if high river levels coincide with high tide. High tide at Plymouth is at 3.40am.
Properties and low lying areas around the caravan and camping site at Notter Bridge and properties at Newbridge and Kerney Bridge may start to flood first from around 3am on Monday morning.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. Do not walk or drive through floodwater. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages. This message will be updated by 11am on Monday or earlier if the situation changes.
