Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 24 January 2026 and into Sunday 25 January.
Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the area, causing river levels to rise.
Further bands of heavy rain are forecast this afternoon and overnight.
Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to remain high throughout Saturday and into Sunday.
Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river, though no flooding to properties is currently forecast.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
This message will be updated by 1:00PM on 25 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
