Flooding expected. Take action now.
The flood warning for the River Nidd at Kirk Hammerton remains in force. River levels have peaked and whilst falling are expected to remain high throughout Tuesday morning, with no further rise forecast. There is no significant rainfall forecast over the coming days. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated on the afternoon of Tuesday 22/02/22, or as the situation changes.
