Severe flooding expected. Take action immediately.

Severe flood warning

Severe flooding is expected this morning and flood water is expected to be deep and fast flowing.
Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 .
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 5:30AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Finnimore Industrial Estate, Thorne Farm Way Estate, Luxtons Park, Otter Mill and Tumbling Weir Way.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 05:00AM and 10:00AM. This is forecast to be the highest level recorded at the Fenny Bridges Gauge.
We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities .
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so . Don't put yourself or others at risk.
