Flood warning

Flooding of homes and roads is expected overnight tonight and into the early hours of Thursday 21 October. Heavy rain falling across the East Devon area has caused the River Otter to rise rapidly. Flooding of property is imminent, and river levels will be at their highest till 2am.
Properties and low lying areas around Finnimore Industrial Estate, Thorne Farm Way Estate, and Luxtons Park will flood first.
Install flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Do not walk or drive through flood water. Avoid low lying roads and footpaths, which may be flooded.
We are monitoring river levels. We will update this message Thursday afternoon or if the situation changes.
