Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain high, but are falling, at Viking on the River Ouse following rainfall associated with Storms Isha and Jocelyn. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Ouse, with low-lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties along Intake Lane, Mill Lane, Yew Tree Close, Darling Lane and Hauling Lane. Showers are forecast in the coming days and levels are expected to remain high for a few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 6:30AM on Friday 26/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
