Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected on 17 December 2025 from around 11:00 PM
Following rain throughout Wednesday, river levels are rising.
Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 11:00PM on Wednesday. The main areas of concern are properties and low lying areas around Riverside Caravan Park at Plympton, Bickleigh Bridge, and Shaugh Bridge . Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 11:00PM on Wednesday and 1:00AM on Thursday.
Heavy rain is forecast during the day on Thursday which may bring a further risk of flooding.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water
