Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding.

Flooding is expected on Thursday 18 December 2025 from around 14:00 PM

Following rain throughout Wednesday and Thursday, river levels remain high. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 14:00PM on Thursday. The main areas of concern are properties and low lying areas around Riverside Caravan Park at Plympton, Bickleigh Bridge, and Shaugh Bridge . Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 14:00PM on Thursday and 18:00PM on Thursday. Rain is expected to ease through late Thursday evening.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water
