Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Worksop river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected from 12:00 today, 20/10/23. Areas most at risk are Worksop Town Centre, including Ryton Street, Central Avenue and the Shireoaks.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels will continue to rise over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 17:00 this afternoon, 20/10/23, or as the situation changes.
