Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Worksop river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible to begin around 23:30 today, 02/01/2024. Areas most at risk are Worksop Town Centre, including Ryton Street, Central Avenue and the Shireoaks.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and follow advice from emergency services.
This message will be updated by 04:00 tomorrow morning, 03/01/24, or as the situation changes.
