Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Worksop river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snow melt. Consequently, flooding of property is possible to begin between 09:00 and 11:00 today, 06/01/25. Areas most at risk are Worksop Town Centre, including Ryton Street, Central Avenue and the Shireoaks.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to rise until 13:00 on 06/01/25.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
