Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Gloucester river gauge as a result of high spring tides coinciding with high river levels. Flooding is possible during high tides today, Monday 12/02/24, and over the coming days. We expect flooding to affect Properties and roads in and around Gloucester. The A40 at Over may be affected. The A38 is close to flooding at Longford and Norton.
Predicted Peaks:- Gloucester, 4.1m to 4.4m during high tide this evening and 4.0m to 4.3m during high tide tomorrow morning 13/02.
We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 6pm today, Monday 12/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
