Flood warning

The River Sheppey is rising quickly and river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. Flooding is expected from 6:15 AM on 19/10/2024.

Areas most at risk include the area around Charlton Viaduct, the Cider Factory and Draycott Road in Shepton Mallet and the area around Jack's Bridge in Croscombe.

Weather conditions are expected to improve throughout Saturday morning, and no further flooding is expected once this peak passes. We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have.
