Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Colston Bassett river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and snow melt. Consequently, flooding of property could occur within the next hour. Areas most at risk are Aslockton and Whatton.
Further lighter rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until 21:00 on 06/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
