Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening.
Flooding is expected on 28 February 2026 from approximately 9pm.
Areas most at risk are Betty Hensers Lane, Sileby Road, Mill Lane, Loughborough Road and Syston Road. Mountsorrel Lock and riverside properties and mills are also at risk. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge will rise until tomorrow afternoon, 01/03/2026. Levels will remain high until Monday, 02/03/2026.

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
