Flooding expected. Take action now.
Following heavy rainfall passing over the area on Saturday, river levels remain high. Although no further rainfall is expected today, catchments are saturated and therefore it is likely that it may be well into Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning before levels start to fall. There is still a risk of property flooding in Bridgerule. Surface water on highways A3071 between Holsworthy and Red Post and also between North Tamerton and Clawton may take overnight to clear. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have operatives in the field to relay information, clear blockages and operate defences if required.
We will update this Flood Warning as the situation changes.
